Captured Tracks Turns 10! Announce Limited Represses for Mac DeMarco, Wild Nothing, Blouse, Saäda Bonaire, & More

Captured Tracks is celebrating their 10th year anniversary this summer with the release of a series of limited edition vinyl represses. The series kicks off on May 25th with a special edition of the 2011 self-titled debut from Blouse and will continue with other highlights from the label's catalog through the Fall. The full release schedule is listed below.

Founded in 2008, and named as the result of confusion around the title of the first Blank Dogs EP (fronted by founder Mike Sniper), Captured Tracks has grown into an unwavering Brooklyn institution of independent music.

What followed was a decade of revered releases from a roster that defined the label. Artists such as Wild Nothing, The Soft Moon, Beach Fossils, Mac DeMarco, DIIV, Craft Spells and more, all began their creative careers at the label and established a foundation both culturally and professionally for the second generation of new signings, including B Boys, Lina Tullgren, EZTV, Molly Burch and MOURN.

Then, inspired by the Beggars Group, Sniper launched a new forward thinking company in 2014, shortly after the label's 5th anniversary. Called Omnian Music Group, its goal is twofold: to form and support new and distinct outfits as well as to seek out other innovative labels who would benefit from a larger structure to partner with. To that end, OMG now incorporates Sinderlyn Records (home to Homeshake, Cults, Sleigh Bells and Fresh & Onlys), 2MR (a newly established electronic label co-run by former Italians Do It Better partner Mike Simonetti), Flying Nun (New Zealand's legendary post-punk label known for bringing us The Clean, The Chills, Snapper & more).

With an ever-present ethos of building something from nothing, Captured Tracks has dedicated its output to championing new artists and bands with little-to-no official prior releases but an undeniable talent that inspires Mike and the team in the same way as the artists before them.

In their tenth year of existence, the label has grown in tandem with its artist and celebrates 300+ releases to date with a still-growing roster looking ahead to the future.
