Cali-Based Indie Alt-Pop Duo Slenderbodies Share New Single THE ONE

Today, California-bred duo slenderbodies share their latest single "the one" from their upcoming EP SORAYA out later this year. The "wavy" track premiered yesterday on Billboard.

The band explains that the track "was inspired by the women in our lives that inspired us or helped us grow, left us in awe or changed our lives," continuing that it "can be looked at in many ways, as sometimes we grow by helping others in our lives, by captivating our attention, or more! One can make an interpretation around their own life, and what it means to have their breath taken away."

"the one" follows the "infectious" (City Soundcheck) lead single "take you home" and a recent cover of the legendary hit "Toxic" by Britney Spears. Also in 2018 they released a "crisp" (Grimy Goods) and tranquil cover of MGMT's "Electric Feel" and remixed Niall Horan's "On the Loose".

Currently, slenderbodies are on tour in Europe after dates with Milky Chance and Liza Anne. They'll be back in the states early October for multiple sets at Austin City Limits before performances in Atlanta, D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, New York, and Chicago, among others. Tickets are on sale now via http://slenderbodi.es.

slenderbodies, composed of Max Vehuni and Benji Barsocchini, sing, write, produce, and mix all their own tracks. In the last year, the band has toured with Mura Masa, Passion Pit, and PVRIS. Meanwhile, their debut single "Anemone" has continued to rack up over 15 million collective streams. SORAYA will be released through Los Angeles indie label Avant Garden, which is also home to Emotional Oranges.
