Boney James New Album 'Honestly' Surges Back to Top Spot on Billboard Charts for 4th Week

Genre-blurring artist Boney James continues to make a big impact this week. His new album HONESTLY reclaims the #1 slot on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts for its fourth week on top. The album's first crossover single HONESTLY (featuring Avery* Sunshine) continues to make gains jumping into the Top 20 on the Urban Adult Mediabase chart, a rare feat for an instrumental artist. Another grand slam for the 4-time GRAMMY nominated, multi-platinum selling artist.

The album HONESTLY follows futuresoul, James' 2015 release, which spent eleven weeks at #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart. This release also marks his 25th anniversary as a solo artist.

Over the years, James has racked up sales of more than three million records, four RIAA gold albums, four GRAMMY nominations, a Soul Train Award, nominations for two NAACP Image Awards and now 11 CDs atop Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. In 2009, Billboard named him one of the Top 3 Contemporary Jazz Artists Of The Decade along with Kenny G and Norah Jones.

With HONESTLY, as with futuresoul and the GRAMMY-nominated The Beat before it, Boney James is making some of the most stellar, wholly realized music of his career.
