Archie Shepp Launches Kickstarter for Attica Blues Big Band Album

Forty years after the release of Attica Blues, Archie Shepp revisits this monument of jazz history with a new big band of 26, composed of a mix of experienced artists and young jazz musicans from the United States and France. The goal is to record the next two concerts in southern France and release a historic live Attica Blues Big Band album.

In order to raise the remaining funds necessary in the production of this album, we have put together a Kickstarter campaign through which you can participate, contribute and get a great deal of goodies in return.

By contributing, you are not only directly involved in the production of a CD by a jazz legend, but you also get to pre-order a physical or electronic copy of the new album as well as other great rewards.
