The band reveals that the guest contribution wasn't exactly a meticulously calculated event-developing more from a friend visiting a studio than anything else.

"We emailed him the part the day before and he was there for like 20-minutes. It was cool and we feel really fortunate that it was such a fun and enjoyable experience," drummer Tyler Soucy explains.

A Great Big Pile of Leaves are set to release their long-awaited second album, You're Always On My Mind, produced by Ed Ackerson (Motion City Soundtrack, Replacements), on July 2.
