This week's featured performer is Ashley Fox Linton!

Tell us about Yourself, Ashley!

I'm originally from Del Mar, California, just north of San Diego. I was pretty much raised on VH1 and a love for the arts. My mother is an abstract painter and my dad plays piano and guitar. There's a song for everything in our family.

One day in my kindergarten class, I forgot to bring my Care Bear for 'Show and Tell.' In a panic, I stood up and told the class I had prepared a song for them instead. I sang my favorite song at the time, "Somewhere Out There" from "An American Tale." My teacher made me go around to every class in the school and sing for them. I remember being terrified to sing in front of the big third graders! I hadn't told my parents because I was afraid they would be upset that I forgot my homework. It wasn't until I was singing at an assembly that they found out I had been performing at my school.

I trained at San Diego Junior Theatre and started working professionally around age nine. I couldn't get enough. I spent all of my time at the theatre and later attended The Boston Conservatory to pursue it as my adult career.

We've Got Questions!

1) What are you working on right now?

I recently released my first solo album "First Real Love," and I'm in the midst of pilot season in Los Angeles.

2) What has been your professional biggest accomplishment so far?

Professionally, I would have to say that being a part of "Les Miserables" on stage was very special. It was the realization of a childhood dream and I'm still so grateful for that experience.
3) Share your funniest or worst audition moment

Oh, how I wish there weren't so many to choose from!

I accidentally went into the wrong room for a commercial audition once. The gal behind the camera just gave me sight-lines for where a couple would be seated and I understood I was supposed to be playing a waitress, so I improvised. I suddenly had a sinking feeling that there was a script and that this wasn't my audition. She realized I was in the wrong place and I confessed. I later played a waitress in numerous Olive Garden commercials.

4) What's your dream role?

Original material is the most exciting, but there are dozens of roles I'd love to play... Jane in "Summer Stock," Charlie in "Charlie Girl," Rosamund in "The Robber Bridegroom," Amalia in "She Loves Me,"... so many wonderful musicals.
Of course I'm excited about Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" coming to Broadway!

5) If you weren't a performer, what would you be?
A sketch writer for Saturday Night Live.

6) Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years?

Still bicoastal, still making music, still enjoying time with the people I love.

7) Where can people find you online?
