MT. PLEASANT, S.C., Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ English ale "Old Speckled Hen" will sponsor the inaugural NYC Trivia Championship this November. Trivia buffs can test their knowledge at 16 different bars and restaurants in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx to compete for the title of New York City's "Brightest Hens."

Adam Kesner, popular trivia night host and co-founder of "Trivial Dispute," will host the championship round on November 11 at Jack Doyle's in midtown Manhattan. Pub quizzes and "Old Speckled Hen" are both English inventions: Their pairing creates a perfect evening for adventurous drinkers and "Old Speckled Hen" aficionados to test their intellects.

To participate, bar patrons must form teams with no more than 6 members and must attend a qualifying round at one of the 16 participating bars during the week of November 3.

Winning teams from the qualifying rounds will represent their bars in the final championship at Jack Doyle's on November 11. The championship winners will be crowned New York City's "Brightest Hens," and each team member will receive a custom trophy, a championship "Old Speckled Hen" T-shirt and a $200 gift certificate to the bar they represent.

Lulu's at 7 p.m.
Bronx Ale House at 9 p.m.

Tuesday, November 5
Murphy's Tavern at 6:30 p.m.
The Churchill at 7 p.m.
Taproom 307, Dive 75 and Dive Bar 96 all at 7:30 p.m.
Black Rabbit, Mad Hatter and Manny's on Second all at 8 p.m.
Buddha Beer Bar at 8:30 p.m.
Broadway Dive at 9 p.m.
Beer Authority at 10 p.m.

Wednesday, November 6
Amity Hall at 7:30 p.m.
The Flying Pig at 8 p.m.
Over The Eight at 9 p.m.
