Special Performance of Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits to Benefit Nevada Public Radio 9/9

By:

Nevada Public Radio listeners and members have a rare chance to support public radio while experiencing one of music's premier guitarists, Carlos Santana, at Supernatural Santana - A Trip Through the Hits inside The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, September 9 at 9 p.m.

Set in the intimate surroundings of The Joint, Carlos Santana and the Santana Band pull from a catalog of hits that span more than four decades. The set list reaches back to their first charting single, 1969's "Jingo," and first Top 10 hit, 1970's "Evil Ways," up through their latest hit, 2008's "Into the Night." The concert is inspired by what Carlos Santana - a "hippie at heart" - calls a mix of practical spirituality, rebel-from-the-street vibe and amazing music.

250 tickets for the September 9 performance will benefit and must be purchased through Nevada Public Radio.

Current Nevada Public Radio members can purchase as many tickets as they like for the speciAl Price of $100. Tickets for all others are $125 each and include a year's membership with Nevada Public Radio. Tickets must be picked up at the will-call and may not be resold. To purchase tickets, visit www.knpr.org, www.classical897.org or call (702) 258-9895 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.

All proceeds benefit Nevada Public Radio. Sponsors include AEG Live, The Joint and Nevada Public Radio News 88.9 KNPR and Classical 89.7.

Show dates for Supernatural Santana - A Trip Through the Hits are September 4-15. For more information about the show, visit www.SupernaturalSantana.com.
