OU's Young Artists Concert to Showcase Student Musicians With Oakland Symphony Orchestra
Associate Professor Gregory Cunningham, who is one of the competition's judges and the conductor of the OSO said, "The concerto competition is always fiercely contested and all of this year's finalists demonstrated great maturity, poise and artistry."
The program will include:
Robert Skylis (tenor)
"Dein ist mein ganzes Herz" from Das Land des Lächelns by Franz Lehár
Jaleel Williams (euphonium)
Concerto for Euphonium, Part One by Philip Wilby
Michaela Judkins (soprano)
"So anch'io la virtu magica" from Don Pasquale by Gaetano Donizetti
Rhys Burgess (piano)
Piano Concerto in a minor, op. 16, I. Allegro molto moderato by Edvard Grieg
The OSO, Oakland University's orchestra-in-residence, will also perform Passacaglia, op. 1 by Anton Webern; and Symphony No. 1 in B-flat major, op. 38 (Spring) by Robert Schumann.

Tickets are $20 and $10 for students. They may be purchased online without service fees at startickets.com or by phone at (800) 585-3737. They can also be purchased at the Varner Box Office on OU's campus. Tickets ordered online or by phone can be picked up at the box office one hour before the performance begins.
