Albert Schultz Recognized With Honorary Doctorate From Bishop's University

In recognition of his contribution to Canadian theatre, Soulpepper Founding Artistic Director Albert Schultz received an Honorary Doctor of Civil Law degree from Bishop’s University on Saturday, May 30, 2009. Bishop’s University annually celebrates the achievements of individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Canadian society on a national or international scale.
Albert Schultz is one of Canada’s leading theatre artists. He is an actor, director, singer, producer and artistic director. Along with 11 other leading Canadian actors, he founded Soulpepper in 1998. Under his visionary leadership, the company has grown from a two-play summer season to a 12 month season of more than 400 performances.
