New Children's Book 'Tagging Along with Muffy' is Released

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - "Tagging Along with Muffy" (published by WestBow Press) tells the tale of a little toy poodle named Muffy who rides over 25,000 miles with her owner on a recumbent bicycle. Told from the dog's perspective, Muffy shares with the reader a series of humorous adventures as she rides along with "Daddy."

"We live in a world bombarded by change. What is new today, is obsolete in a few passing years," says author Larry Mann. "There are some things, however, that never change. One such constant is the unconditional love and affection of our pets."

Muffy and Daddy encounter other cyclists on their journey, delighting them as they passed by. The book revels in the universal joy animals bring to their human companions and the special bonds that form between them. Featuring black and white pictures of Muffy, Mann hopes readers will be able to experience some of the love Muffy and he share on their bicycling trips together.

An excerpt from "Tagging Along with Muffy":
One day, when I was just beginning to learn to ride the bike with Daddy, we were biking around a big lake. I love that lake because there are ducks and geese to bark at! Well, that morning we came upon a group of people riding in front of us and also a large group of riders approaching us from the opposite direction. I had never seen such a crowd of people on the trail before! What were all these people doing riding on my trail?
