Please read "A New Fatherland: Discussion Between Bicycles" (published by Trafford Publishing), Joseph Adler's imaginative new book which reveals visionary concepts and addresses humanity's problems.

In this book bicycles talk like humans do. This, of course is a fiction, but the fiction stops right here. All the discussions between bicycles are about the so often very sad reality of human society. As humans go about their daily business, a population of impartial objects, the bicycles, observe their every move. What is more, they regularly convene to discuss matters. "A New Father Land" explores a creative concept for urban transportation while revealing revolutionary ideas that could improve the quality of life for people.

Adler presents this unique study in three parts, which center around three different bicycle reunions. During these gatherings the two-wheeled vehicles delve into an array of topics, about their undervalued place in the world and the curious actions of humans.

The initial subject of discussion at the first bicycle reunion is a true story based on Adler's own research, development and promotion of an original, visionary urban transportation concept: The Bicycle Expressway System. Lamenting the fact that people rely too much on noisy, polluting cars in numbers that are way above the traffic capacity of the streets in about all cities, practically eliminating the safe use of bicycles on those streets. The bicycles are delighted that one engineer's efforts to promote a real solution will create real peace between cars and bicycles. This solution is based on creating a network of expressways exclusively for bicycles, elevated at about 5 meters above the street level, covered and at level or downhill only, as uphill differences in elevation will be taken by escalators. In these conditions an accident between cars and bicycles so many times fatal for cyclist will be practically impossible .

These fascinating details about the concept prompted a bicycle at the first reunion to call it a New Fatherland for bicycles.

In all three reunions the bicycles expressed their opinions on many aspects of human nature, from art to religion, to political systems, to the economy, to bullfighting, from the negative side of competition to the crazy useless everyday and every place advertising. Readers follow an array of topics that range from serious to lighthearted. In each, gathering the bicycles display very logical, critical thinking and fair discussion. If humans were only clued into the common sense of the bicycles the world could be an ideal place to live. A thought provoking, entertaining and highly unique story, this book offers readers an in-depth analysis of human behavior.

At the end of the book there is an Annex with several articles published in major newspapers and magazines in several countries and many letters of support for the concept from outstanding personalities from Canada and other countries.

Adler also presented the concept at several International Conferences and Seminars in USA, Canada, Brazil, China, Australia, Cuba, Mexico, Singapore and Switzerland.
