"Watt's Special Purpose" (published by AuthorHouse), by author John Paul Murphy, tells a simple tale with an important message for children that everyone is important, unique and has a special purpose in life.

Murphy's book tells the story of a light bulb named Watt. He's different from other light bulbs and is often the victim of bullying at school because he doesn't fit in with his classmates. All that changes one day when a fire breaks out at his school, and Watt finally finds his special purpose.

An excerpt from "Watt's Special Purpose":

"Once in the light socket, Watt shone as brightly as he could. He was so bright that he beamed right through the black smoke and everyone got out safely. Watt not only shone until everyone got out of school, but he shone so that all firemen could get into the school. Watt had found his special purpose!"

After saving the day, Watt is accepted by all the other children, and everyone receives the message that they, too, have their own special purpose.
