Causes and Reversal of Mental Illnesses Explored in OUR ELECTRIC EMOTIONS

In 2009, Susie Macomber published her nearly three-decade journey of overcoming Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in "Into Fear and Back". Today, three years after her debut into the publishing arena, Macomber follows it up with an even bolder and more significant work. She reaches out to people who suffer mental/emotional illnesses, their family and friends, as well as people who are healthy and want to stay healthy, in her newly published book, titled Our Electric Emotions.

The book opens by exploring the correlation between nutritional deficiencies and mental/emotional illnesses. It defines significant terms and concepts, explores history, as well as put alcohol and caffeine under the spotlight. Then, it discusses the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), followed by two opposing schools of thoughts about the human body.

At the heart, it discusses the role that toxins, fats, prostaglandins, the hypothalamus and the enteric nervous system, all play in mental/emotional illnesses. Finally, it discusses why chemical medications do not do a very good job in either controlling the symptoms or reversing the disorder. Interestingly, it explores the part that breathing incorrectly plays in mental/emotional illnesses.

"I know how devastating those illnesses can be for the sufferer and their families and friends. When I read or hear about people suffering, I want to grab them and tell them there is hope," declares Macomber. "I was told by a psychiatrist that I would always have to take psychotropic drugs and would most certainly always suffer with mental/emotional illness. How wonderful to prove that wrong!"

Well-researched, eye-opening, and empowering, Our Electric Emotions is an important primer on the topic of mental health. Macomber humbly hopes that the information she provided may be helpful for readers, although she does not intend to replace medical, health, or any other kind of professional services. She still recommends to readers conferring with their personal medical health professional before embracing her ideas.<
