After the successful publication of his first book, "Paying It Forward", in March 2013, author Chuck Booth returns quickly with its interesting and heady follow up in Paying It Forward: New Beginnings. In this new volume, he continues to relate the story of Charlie Logan, the decorated combat veteran and retired Army Ranger who embarked on a mission to help the wounded and physically handicapped soldiers to overcome the most imposing obstacles life could offer-that of life itself. This time, readers will enjoy heightened challenges, fresh ventures, thrilling circumstances, and new beginnings.

This book relates how a retired Army Ranger sees and recognizes the cost of war in something other than it's dollar value and sets out to do as much as he can to 'make things right'. Charles Logan's mission has been working well since it kicked off. The ReRanger School has been invaluable and he still works hard to sustain his rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers returning from Afghanistan. By modifying the equipment used by the wounded soldier, he is able to provide them with the ability to live life in its mainstream, in a more normal way, with dignity and pride. Overall, Charlie has proven he can make a happy ending for his own story of second chance through his new mission. But how will he take part in the life of his daughter, his wife and those who are important to him facing yet new obstacles in their lives?

In Paying It Forward: New Beginnings, readers will meet Brianna, Charlie's daughter, who is now deep in an investigation involving political corruption and organized crime after she was appointed to head the Special Investigations Task Force, a team of trusted officers who would investigate, prosecute, and put an end to that. In an investigation the governor can know nothing about, his lieutenant governor may end up behind bars for quite a long time. This tremendous task would draw not only her but several others into a web of convoluted events-organizational intrigue, death and murders, drugs, border-related issues, and a lot more. How the lives of its characters like Savannah, Brad and Susan, Mac and Blanca, David and Rachel, Shawna and Tom, Brianna and Roger, Danny, and Charlie and Sabrina unravel will surely inspire the readers.

Packed with intrigue, tension and a dash of romance, this exciting, adventurous and mind-blowing story addresses the 'mechanics' of the handicap issue-making the equipment do what it should do, as opposed to the mental aspect of the handicap, both of which are significant, but drastically different from each other. It will remind the readers that not all heroes are dead and people should not forget the men and women who gave so much and have to deal with the sacrifice they have made for the rest of their own lives. This book is a call for the readers to be there for these heroes as they were there for them.
