In 1948, Australia opened their doors to immigrants displaced by World War II. More than 118,800 migrated to the country looking for a fresh start and one small boy was named Paul Galy.

In "The 4th of May", Galy shares his first-hand accounts of his survival in post-WWII Hungary. This book reveals eyewitness accounts of death, immigration and injustice.

Paul Galy OAM is a successful pedorthist and orthortist trained in the tradition of making orthotics, calipers and prosthetic's for people with misshapen feet. Paul is arguably the most skilled shoe designer and manufacturer in his specialized field in Australia. Paul is married with two adult children and 3 grandchildren. He and his wife live and work side-by-side at their specialized shoe making practice in North Bondi.
