Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP), a professionally run 501c3 annually serving nearly 10,000 theatre patrons and hundreds of students as well as acting as a home base to an ensemble of theatre artists, today stated it continues to sustain operations in the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre building under a direct agreement with the City of Buffalo, the current owner of the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre building, through the process of a building sale.

RLTP Board of Directors Chair Ellen Hassett Cahill stated, "While the City of Buffalo currently is evaluating developer bids in connection with a possible sale of the building, RLTP remains fully functional and about to launch its 2014-2015 Season. We are a valued member of the theatre community and of the community-at-large...as evidenced not just in our ticket sales and four-star reviews, but in the respect we've earned among our peers, collaborators, and supporters. What entity gains control of the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre building, and under what use plan, will directly affect RLTP's ability to stay in the space, in the Downtown Buffalo Theatre District, and still meet its non-profit mission of fiscal responsibility, community inclusion, and artistic collaboration. We hope live theatre will be preserved in the building, which is situated in the center of Buffalo's Historic Theatre District. Whatever the outcome of the City of Buffalo's bid evaluation process, as it has throughout its history, RLTP will maintain its quality educational programming and live theatre regardless of location."

Founded in 2003, Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is a professional, non-profit theatre company dedicated to the development and production of new theatrical works by Western New York playwrights, as well as presentations of esteemed modern dramas of outstanding literary merit. We are dedicated to telling stories that reflect our lives, and reveal our common relationships and diverse humanity. We are committed to engaging a new, more youthful, more diverse audience. We embrace a mission of fiscal responsibility, community inclusion, and artistic collaboration. We manage a live theatre season as well as a set of strategically linked educational programs. RLTP, a member of the National New Play Network, operates the Road Less Traveled Theater, located since 2006 in the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre in Downtown Buffalo's Historic Theatre District.
