FIRST COMES LOVE Returning to The Bell House, 6/8

First Comes Love, hosted by Kyle Ayers (Just for Laughs), is back at The Bell House, and this time is proceeded by a carnival of comedian-made carnival games! Comedians acting out adult film scripts from Craigslist, LIVE on stage! He will be joined by Beth Stelling (Conan, Comedy Central 1/2 Hour), Aparna Nancherla (Late Night w. Seth Meyers), Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight writer, new album Physical Whisper), Jo Firestone (Punderdome 3000, Chris Gethard Show), and so many more, such as Noah Gardenswartz (Comedy Central), Ben Kronberg, Reformed Whores, Tim Dillon, Anna Drezen, and more special guests.

The evening will kick off with a carnival full of homemade (by comedian) carnival games, at 7p, which you can play by exchanging tokens that are included in admission. Games such as the Bechdel Test Kissing Booth, Guess Your Wait (how long you waited for brunch that day), Caricatures Drawn By Someone With No Artistic Ability, (Almond) Milk Jug Toss, and more!

After that will be First Comes Love, a show where comedians act out adult film scripts acquired off of a fake Craigslist post, from real, aspiring adult film writers. It is as fun and absurd as it sounds. The entire night will also be our Howl Launch Party! First Comes Love is going to be a mini-series on Howl Earwolf's premium podcast service. First Comes Love has been featured in Riot LA, SF Sketchfest, the Brooklyn Comedy Festival, and its regular runs at the Bell House and Knitting Factory.

Adult film scripts from Craigslist, acted out LIVE on stage by comedians and the like. In an (admittedly) drunken state, Brooklyn comedian Kyle Ayers placed an ad on Craigslist, claiming to be the CEO/Producer of a major adult film company. He asked for 3-4 page porn scripts from aspiring adult film writers. What he didn't expect, was to get over 1,000 responses in one week, which he now has comedians and friends act out verbatim on stage, for better or for worse. More funny and absurd than sexual or weird, past guests include Ron Jeremy (yeah, that guy), Sasheer Zamata, Emily Heller, Dan St. Germain, Nick Vatterott, Matteo Lane, and more. The show has been featured in the Brooklyn Comedy Festival, RIOT LA, SF Sketchfest, and weird places all over this wonderfully lonely country, and is about to be a mini-series on Howl, the premium podcast service from Earwolf, who bring you Comedy Bang Bang and so much more.
