The River Park Foundation is celebrating the Cobble Hill community with From Brooklyn With Love!, a free event open to the public on June 7th.

The event will take place at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park from 4-8:00 P.M.
Attendees will spend the evening immersed by River Park, Brooklyn's newest waterfront
district that will be shaped by striking architecture, epic skyline to river views, coveted indoor and outdoor amenities, and expansive parks. Guests will be introduced to the area's coveted local businesses, sample delicious food, and enjoy be a special appearance by beloved Broadway performers Chesney Snow and Marcus Paul James and delight in acoustic performances by iconic bands Daughtry and Bleachers. With Love, From Brooklyn, showcasing curated deluxe gift boxes featuring bona fide Brooklyn artisan treats and goods; Fornino, the exclusive restaurant on Pier 6 known for artisanal, wood-fired pizzas; The Ally Coalition, which provides critical support for grassroots non-profit organizations dedicated to bettering the lives of LGBTQ youth through tours, special events, and collaborative partnerships; and more to be announced.

Marcus Paul James, Actor, Singer/Songwriter - seen in Off-Broadway's "Miss You Like Hell", Broadways' "MOTOWN: The Musical", Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony award-winning "In The Heights", and Jonathan Larson's Tony award-winning "RENT". Chesney Snow, Actor, Composer, playwright- Snow is Drama Desk award-winning Brooklyn based theatre artist, songwriter, educator and beatboxer. Recently originated the role of Boxman in Broadway's first a cappella musical In Transit. Considered a pioneering figure in American beatbox culture he founded the American Beatbox Championships and executive produced the documentary American Beatboxer which was placed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Harvard University Hip Hop archives among others. He twice headlined Carnegie Hall with DCINY, was 3x artist in residence at Harvard University and has collaborated on stage as a beatboxer with many legendary artists including KRS One, Zap Mama, and Nile Rodgers. He has opened for artists such as MC Lyte, Snoop Dogg, and Immortal Technique. His most recent work as a composer and lyricist was alongside renowned playwright and actress Regina Taylor for her 15 year anniversary production of CROWNS at Princeton's McCarter Theatre and the Long Wharf Theatre.
