The Springfield Chamber Players will open their 2024-25 season with a performance featuring the Clarinet Quintet on October 26. The program includes works such as Bernard Herrmann's Souvenirs de Voyage for Clarinet Quintet, Paul Chihara’s [Duke] Ellington Fantasy, and pieces by Vaughan Williams and Haydn. This concert marks the inaugural event at Springfield's new performance venue, 52 Sumner, showcasing talented musicians from the Springfield Symphony Orchestra in an intimate setting.
