On Friday May 28th, Pay-Per-HAP explores a lesser-known military campaign with which most are unfamiliar: The War of 1812, or The Forgotten War, is a historical landmark for both Great Britain and the United States of American on numerous fronts. Historical Interpreter Kyle Jenks reveals the truth behind America's Second War for Independence, in a solo interpretation as the 4th American President, James Madison. The War of 1812 is relegated to relative obscurity, compared to other worldly conflicts, but why? Though commonly called Americas "Second War for Independence," the conflict with Great Britain is filled with drama and intrigue that capitulates to an eventual truce. What could possibly have happened that would have lead to such a dramatic and reluctant conclusion as a declaration of war? Join Madison as he reveals secrets of The Forgotten War and expounds upon the events that prompted the only sitting President in American History to enter the field of battle. Kyle Jenks has interpreted James Madison, known as The Father of the Constitution, since 2015. Jenks appearances have included: The National Constitution Center, the New-York Historical Society, The American Philosophical Society, and the Massachusetts Historical Society. He is the creator of the Society Hill Walking Tour of Philadelphia and is also a playwright, having penned James and Dolley: Opposites Attract, which highlights a love story between James and Dolley Madison, from courtship, to the end of the War of 1812.Running time: Approx. 60 minutes.
