Yale Repertory Theatre will present a staged reading of John Austin Connolly's The Boys from Siam, directed by Liz Diamond, on Monday, October 1 at 7:30 PM.  The reading will take place in the New Theater, located at 1156 Chapel Street in New Haven. Admission is free.

John Austin Connolly is the first winner of The Yale Drama Series, an annual playwriting competition hosted by Yale University Press and Yale Repertory Theatre to support emerging playwrights.

"The Boys from Siam is inspired by the true story of conjoined twins Chang and Eng Bunker (1811-1874)," explain press notes.

The Yale Drama Series is open to playwrights from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The winner receives the David C. Horn Prize of $10,000 and publication of his or her manuscript by Yale University Press, as well as a reading produced by Yale Repertory Theatre. The Yale Drama Series is funded by generous support from the David Charles Horn Foundation.

Seating is limited and reservations are strongly suggested.  To make a reservation, call (800) YSD-CUES or (800) 973-2837 (you will not receive a return phone call). For directions, visit www.yalerep.org.
