Trumpeter Chris Botti re-ups with JVC Jazz Fest - Newport

Chris Botti, who had previously dropped out of the JVC Jazz Festival Newport lineup to tour with Earth, Wind & Fire, is back on the roster, due to a last minute tour schedule change. 

Botti's band will feature an all-star musical staff with pianist Billy Childs, guitarist Mark Whitfield, drummer Billy Kilson, bassist James Genus and vocalist Jeanne Jolly. They will perform on August 13, 2006. 

Botti is an instrumentalist, composer, and a charismatic performer who, since the release of his first solo album in 1995, has earned both critical acclaim and mainstream appreciation. His latest album is, To Love Again, a collection of pop jazz standards.
