Kevin Moriarty has been named as the new Artistic Director of the Dallas Theater Center effective September 4, 2007.

Moriarty is currently Associate Director at Trinity Repertory Company (The Merry Wives of Windsor, Indoor/Outdoor, A Delicate Balance, Richard II) and head of the Brown / Trinity Consortium's Directing MFA program.

"All of us at Trinity Repertory Company are thrilled with the news of Kevin's appointment as Artistic Director of the Dallas Theater Center," said Curt Columbus, Artistic Director. "Kevin is one of the most singularly talented, creative and intelligent directors working in the American theater today. We couldn't be happier for him and wish him all the best as he follows in the footsteps of Trinity Rep's legendary Adrian Hall, who also was tapped to head the Dallas Theater Center as Artistic Director in 1984."

Moriarty will direct Richard III at Trinity Rep in January 2008, as announced and plans to continue his faculty role with the Consortium through the fall and winter.
