Berkshire Theatre Group has announced that The Tartan Terrors, a unique blend of Celtic music, Highland dance and bellyfuls of laughter, will be performing at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield on Friday, October 21 at 8pm.

Tickets are $15-$35 and may be purchased in person at the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street or by calling (413) 997-4444 or online at www.TheColonialTheatre.org. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until intermission.

Taking the Celtic scene by storm, The Tartan Terrors, North America's premiere Celtic Event, features the best in music, comedy and dance. Bolstered by the blistering piping of a Two Time World Champion Bagpiper, the driving rhythm of drums from around the world, and a guitar played unlike any ever heard, audiences can witness why Dig This Real Magazine declares The Tartan Terrors "one act to keep an eye on!" Combine this musical prowess with championship caliber Highland Dancers and internationally recognized comedic performers and this Celtic Group goes beyond the ordinary.

Hailing from various parts of Canada, these performers have dedicated their lives towards perfecting the Celtic tradition while infusing it with their own musical prowess. Featuring the permanent members, Ellen Wilkes Irmisch, Ian Wilkes Irmisch, Jon McCann, Sahra Featherstone, Greig Cairns, Bill Weir, Chris Kerba and Kevin McKeown, who are then accompanied by a variety of award winning Celtic musicians and dancers, these internationally acclaimed performers bring a unique and unforgettable performance to the stage. After years of competitive bag piping, dancing and fiddling, the members of the Tartan Terrors have honed their skills so that they only bring the best of Celtic music and performance to their concert venues.

Members of the Tartan Terrors have performed on four different continents; in some of the most prestigious Festivals, Highland Games and Theatres of North America; for President Clinton; Queen Elizabeth II; and on Good Morning America. They are even streaming for on-demand listening in multiple international podcasts including a coveted spot on Pulse of the Planet in Spain! Mix this excellent musical talent with some finely honed comedy and you have a show that even the most traditional of Irish lads would love.

Join the phenomenon of the Tartan Terrors and see why Celtic Beat Magazine hails them as "the heirs apparent to the [Celtic] mayhem." Guaranteed laughter and some good "craic," you won't want to miss this opportunity to witness the old country bridge with the rockin' new!
