Stoneham Theatre to Present THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES, 7/5-28

Think prom season is over? Not for Stoneham Theatre. This July, Stoneham Theatre is proud to presentThe Marvelous Wonderettes, a fun, frothy, musical comedy featuring over 20 hit songs from the 1950s and 1960s that will have you dancing in the aisles.

The Marvelous Wonderettes takes place at Springfield High's 1958 prom where Suzy, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Betty Jean (The Marvelous Wonderettes) are performing for their classmates. The Wonderettes' friendships and rivalries are told through classic hit songs like Mr. Sandman, Lollipop, It's My Party, Leader of the Pack, andRespect, to name a few. The music and laughs continue in act two when audience members join the girls at their 10-year reunion. With classic hit songs, fabulous 50s moves, the opportunity to vote for prom queen, and plenty of nostalgia, The Marvelous Wonderettes is the perfect summer delight.

The Marvelous Wonderettes stars Laura Graczyk* as Suzy, Lee Harrington* as Cindy Lou, Tess Primack* as Missy, and Brittany Rolfs* as Betty Jean. Direction and musical staging is by Nick Sulfaro, and musical direction is by Jim Rice. The Marvelous Wonderettes opens Friday, July 5, 2013 and runs through Sunday, July 28, 2013.
