Every year, Stoneham Theatre seeks out stories and shows that will entertain, amuse, and surprise audiences. "We pride ourselves on our variety," Producing Artistic Director Weylin Symes shared. "And this season is no different, with new and familiar titles and hopefully something a little unexpected." Stoneham Theatre's Season 14 boasts a hip new comedy direct from Broadway, a fresh take on a classic horror story, a holiday favorite, a silly, murder mystery musical, a Tony Award-winning musical, and one show yet to be announced. "We are very excited to present our 14th season of professional theatre right here in Metro North and pleased to share this new slate of shows with the public," Managing Director Debra Rafson added.

When the power goes out, the bridge is flooded, the butler is killed in a freak explosion and the other guests start to die in mysterious ways, it quickly becomes clear that (you guessed it), Something's Afoot.

Mary Lennox, a young oprhan, is sent to England to live with her reclusive uncle and sickly cousin. When this neglected child discovers an equally neglected secret garden, she begins to bring life (and a bit of magic) back to both the garden and her uncle's manor. This lush Broadway musical won 3 Tony Awards, including "Best Score of a Musical," and is based on the beloved novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
