Cape Rep Theatre has announced the final production in the 2009 Indoor Theatre Season. OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD, the gripping drama by Timberlake Wertenbaker, will open November 5th and play for five weeks through December 6. 
 
Art Devine will direct. The creative team will include lighting design by Chris Ostrom, set design by Ryan McGettigan and costume design by Robin McLaughlin. Properties are y Mary Fritz and Maura Hanlon will provide sound design. Stephanie Diaz will serve as Production Stage Manager.
 
The cast includes Jessica Albon, Lesley Billingslea, Jo Brisbane, Chris Compton, Jack Kerig, Mike Lemieux, Holly Erin McCarthy, I an Ryan, Dakota Shepard, Kaitlin Varkado and Toby Wilson. Final casting will be announced shortly.
 
Our Country's Good is set in 1788 as 9 British convict ships, 2 escorts and 3 supply ships land in what will become Sydney, Australia. They were the first of thousands of petty criminals sent to build the British colony. In this award winning, gripping tale, nine of these prisoners and their jailers seek relief, redemption and escape by putting on a play. Wonderful characters and brilliant writing, this play will transport you.

Our Country's Good is the season finale to Cape Rep's 2009 critically acclaimed Indoor Theatre season that included the comedy hit Wintertime, extended smash hit Stones in His Pockets, the record breaking run of My Fair Lady, and the Broadway musical A Class Act. Outdoor Theatre Children's Programming and the 15th Annual Old Sea Pines Broadway Musical Dinner Revue completed the full 2009 Season Repertory Schedule. Cape Rep's annual benefit, All Our Best, was performed on Sept 4 and 5. Information can be obtained by calling 508.896.1888 or www.caperep.org.

Performances will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm with Sunday matinees at 2pm. There is no performance on November 8, or on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26. Tickets are $22-$25 and are available by calling 508.896.1888 or visiting www.caperep.org.
