New Repertory Theatre Announces A Valentines Day Concert

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, in partnership with The Talk Restaurant will jointly present an evening for you and your Valentine to remember with wonderful food and drink, engaging conversation, and A-list entertainment on Thursday, February 11, 2010.

"Dinner and a show are staples of a date night out, and we are delighted to offer this classic romantic experience through our new partnership with The Talk," says Kate Warner, New Rep's Artistic Director. "With the talented artists that are performing iconic love songs and the The Talk's delicious food, this Valentine's Day will truly be memorable for all involved."

Starting at 6:00pm at The Talk Restaurant (116 Main Street, Watertown), guests will enjoy a prix fixe dinner consisting of an appetizer, a choice of three entrees, and a glass of wine or other beverage. Following dinner, guests will be entertained by a Valentine's Cabaret at the Commander's Mansion (440 Talcott Avenue), including a decadent dessert fondue and select beverages. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased online or by calling the Box Office at 617-923-8487 by February 5, 2010.

The Cabaret will feature some of New Rep's most-beloved and recognized artists, including: Edward M. Barker, Leigh Barrett, Mary Callanan, Neil A. Casey, Aimee Doherty, and Todd C. Gordon.

For 90 minutes, these brilliant artists will interweave celebrated songs, such as "My Funny Valentine" and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore," with passionate show tunes from Ain't Misbehaving; Cabaret, Guys and Dolls; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; and Stop The World.

New Repertory Theatre presents provocative and intelligent works of both established and emerging playwrights in an intimate setting that involves and engages the audience. New Rep has earned a reputation for dynamic productions that honor the writers and feature talented professional actors from the New England Theatre community as well as guest artists from around the U.S. New Rep has received Elliot Norton and IRNE Awards
for outstanding acting, scenic design, direction, and production. Programming for New Repertory Theatre is supported in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
