New Rep to Tour A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, 7/13-20

By:

New Repertory Theatre announces A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by William Shakespeare, performed at a variety of locations in the Greater Boston area from July 13-20, 2014. Presented by New Repertory Theatre's Classic Repertory Company and directed by Clay Hopper, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will be free and open to the public with donations accepted.

"Hosting our young professional touring company is an ideal way to enliven the arts programs of our partners at the Arlington Center for the Arts, Hyde Community Center in Newton, the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, and The Mall at Chestnut Hill," says New Rep Artistic Director, Jim Petosa.

"The Classic Repertory Company allows New Rep to engage communities from around the Greater Boston area," says New Rep Managing Director, Harriet Sheets. "Our professional touring productions present classic works that continue to resonate with audiences, and we're pleased to perform these free productions this summer."

In this fast-paced, 90-minute version of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, New Rep's Classic Repertory Company presents one of William Shakespeare's most beloved comedies. Follow the chaos and passion of four love-struck youth as they find their way through the forest and to each other, while overcoming the obstacles of the fairies and the will of the Duke.
