New Bedford High School Drama Club Presents ALL MY SONS 12/2-5

By:

The New Bedford High School Drama Club will raise the curtain on its 2010-2011 season with, All My Sons, the 1947 winner of the New York Drama Critics' Circle award for Best Play, by Arthur Miller, December 2-5 at the NBHS Little Theater.

All My Sons is a play in three acts, taking place in the 1940s, revolving around the Keller family, a family which consists of a business-man father, Joe Keller, who successfully sells airplane engines, as well as a WWII veteran son, and a grief-stricken mother who unwaveringly believes that her other son, who has been reported MIA for almost two years, will return any day.

During the war, Joe Keller was accused of selling faulty engines, resulting in the death of 21 pilots. Keller blamed the sales on his business partner who was sent to jail. However, the pot is stirred once the jailed man's daughter, Anne Deever (who happened to be engaged to the Keller's MIA son), comes to visit. Arthur Miller truly delivers a story of a clash of business ethics with family values.

All My Sons' ten-person cast stars Andy Soares as Joe Keller with Brianne Allain (Kate Keller), Alex Pires (Chris Keller), Cassandra Borges (Anne Deever), and many other talented cast members.

The production of All My Sons is directed by Tasha Fonseca and produced by Kara Plant, co-advisors and alumni of the NBHS Drama Club. This season the advisors also selected two student apprentices, Victoria Rebello and Jacob Benoit. Set design is by NBHS Alumni David Jeffery and set construction by Kenny Fonseca.
All My Sons will be presented at 7pm on December 2nd, 3rd and 4th and at 2pm on December 4th and 5th, at NBHS's Little Theater, 230 Hathaway Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02740. Seats are limited so reserve your tickets now!

Tickets are $10 and are available by email nbhsdramaclub@gmail.com or by visiting the NBHS box office Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning November 2nd from 6pm-9pm.
