Love Canon Brings Bluegrass Infused '80s And '90s Pop To Club Passim Image

Touring in support of their fourth album, Cover Story, bluegrass band LOVE CANON brings their acoustic-roots sensibilities to the electronic tinged pop hits of the 80's and 90's for two shows at Club Passim in Harvard Square on January 24th & 25th. Doors for both shows open at 8:00 pm.

Hailing from Charlottesville, Virginia, seasoned virtuoso string players Jessee Harper, Adam Larrabee, Andy Thacker, Darrell Muller, and Jay Starling, stay true to the approach, arrangements, and keen artistry of these nostalgic hits. Touring since 2010, LOVE CANON has developed a large following in the Mid-Atlantic and is ready to bring their unique sound nationwide.

With Cover Story, LOVE CANON delivers a fresh take on a set of pop classics. Crossing genres to transform music from the likes of Peter Gabriel, Billy Joel, Depeche Mode, and Paul Simon into Bluegrass. Released last summer, the self-produced album features several special guests including Jerry Douglas, Aoife O'Donovan, Keller Williams, Michael Cleveland, and Eric Krasno.

LOVE CANON performs at Club Passim on January 24 and 25, 2019 at 8:00PM. Tickets are $22 ($20 for members) and are available at www.clubpassim.org, by calling 617-492-7679 (9:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday) or at the Club Passim box office sixty minutes before the show begins. Club Passim is located in Harvard Square at 47 Palmer St., Cambridge, MA 02138.

The mission of Passim is to provide truly exceptional and interactive live musical experiences for both performers and audiences, to nurture artists at all stages of their career, and to build a vibrant music community. Passim does so through their legendary listening venue, music school, artist grants and outreach programs. As a nonprofit since 1994, Passim carries on the heritage of our predecessors-the historic Club 47 (1958-1968) and for-profit Passim (1969-1994). We cultivate a diverse mix of musical traditions, where the emphasis is on the relationship between performers and audience and teachers and students. Located in Harvard Square, Passim serves Cambridge and the broader region by featuring local, national and International Artists. Our ultimate goal is to help the performance arts flourish and thereby enrich the lives of members of our community. For a complete schedule, visit www.passim.org.
