The Longwood Players are less than two weeks away from opening night of You Can't Take It With You! The cast and creative team are working diligently to bring this Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy to life on the Longwood stage.

You Can't Take It With You is one of the most popular and successful plays of modern times. Tony, attractive young son of the unhappy Kirbys, falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening. If at first the Sycamores seem mad, it is not long before we realize that if they are mad the rest of the world is even madder. Then there are the strange activities of certain members of the household engaged in the manufacture of fireworks, the printing press set up in the parlor, Grandpa's interview with the tax collector, and an ex-Grand Duchess earning her living as a waitress.

Performances run November 11, 12, 17, and 18 at 8pm November 19 at 2pm and 8pm at Cambridge YMCA Theater, 820 Mass Ave. Central Square, Cambridge, MA. Tickets $17-25.
