JUST A WELDER Kicks Off O.W.I.'s Spring/Summer Reading Series

O.W.I. (Bureau of Theatre), a resident company at the Boston Center for the Arts, begins its third Spring/Summer season of free play readings at the Roslindale Branch of the Boston Public Library. Each month from April to September O.W.I. will bring these free, public readings of new plays beginning on Saturday, April 14 with, "Just a Welder" written and read by Richard Klovdahl.

Klovdahl's recollections from his 30 years as a welder delivers hilarious portrayals of the unusual characters and situations he encountered along the way, sprinkled with "career advice" for potential welders. Do you know the names of the different kinds of welding torches and what they do? Woven throughout are Klovdahl's humorous musings on more serious, thought-provoking themes. Both white collar and blue collar workers are fair game for jokes, as are all varieties of political and religious stances.
