ImprovBoston announces its December schedule. All shows take place at ImprovBoston, 40 Prospect Street in Cambridge. The schedule for the month is below. Ticket prices are with each show. More information on ImprovBoston is available online: www.improvboston.com.

Every Thursday night our resident ImprovBoston Harold teams perform Harold, THE classic long form improv format, with occasional special guests. From a single audience suggestion, each Harold team creates a 25-minute comedy show from scratch, an original improvised set exploring a world of characters we guarantee you won't soon forget. SKETCHHAUS: THE BIGFOOT MONOLOGUES
Mike Reardon and Bryce Read each play five different characters in this original two-man comedy show taking place in the wake of a rash of bigfoot encounters in the small town of Owl Creek, Maine. Join wildlife biologist, Dr. Marvin Baxter, and celebrity cryptozoologist, "Dr." Phoenix Wild, as they host a symposium featuring interviews and anonymous footage involving the legendary beast. Partly scripted, parlty improvised, 100% funny. This show is no hoax! Directed by Laura Clark.

FEATURED SHOWCASE: MANTHORNE AND THE BARON: CAMBRIDGE NIGHTS
ImprovBoston presents Manthorne and The Baron: Cambridge Nights, a fully improvised show taking aim at all your favorite buddy-cop duos, crime dramas, Boston movies, and Boston buddy-cop crime drama movies. Jack "The Man" Manthorne is a wild card. In all his years as a detective for the Cambridge Police Department, he has never had a partner. Never wanted one; never needed one. But Jack's temper and hair trigger have left more property damaged than recovered and more bodies than files in closed cases. When a crime so shocking it leaves Cambridge reeling and its citizens questioning their identity, Cheif of Police Alec "The Baron" Lebarren takes it personally. Motivated by justice and looking for revenge, Lebarren decides to fight fire with fire, forcing Manthorne into a partnership with an ultimatum. As these two veteran crime fighters get closer to the truth, they too begin to unravel. If they are to restore peace in the streets and trust within the community, they will have to face the truths they each buried long ago.

Best for children ages 4 and above, but appropriate for ALL ages and an absolute favorite for teens, though they refuse to admit it at first, you know, just like a teenager.

FACE OFF
Now most audiences have seen Whose Line, you know, the show with Drew Carey on ABC Family, and maybe some of you have seen that show Nick Cannon did for MTV. Well, Boston, Face Off kicks it up a notch with a latenight show (not appropriate for the whole family) and they guarantee to make you part of the action. You provide the suggestions; Face Off performs; you laugh; you vote for the Team you prefer. REPEAT! Teams of improv comedians literally face off against each other for your laughs and approval.

Studio Teams are independent Sketch and Improv Comedy Teams from the Boston Area who perform regularly in the ImprovBoston Studio, OH! They are self-motivated ensembles, driven by a love for a comedy, often coached and directed by instructors from the ImprovBoston Comedy School and ALWAYS HILARIOUS! Come see for yourself. This week’s show opens with Aeropuerto and is hosted by BYOI.

SKETCHHAUS: THE BIGFOOT MONOLOGUES
Mike Reardon and Bryce Read each play five different characters in this original two-man comedy show taking place in the wake of a rash of bigfoot encounters in the small town of Owl Creek, Maine. Join wildlife biologist, Dr. Marvin Baxter, and celebrity cryptozoologist, "Dr." Phoenix Wild, as they host a symposium featuring interviews and anonymous footage involving the legendary beast. Partly scripted, parlty improvised, 100% funny. This show is no hoax! Directed by Laura Clark.

The improv and music extravaganza is completely made up on the spot every week based on your suggestion. No two shows are alike! Best of all, children who want to participate have opportunities to be on stage and take part in the fun! Our show is ideal for family outings, birthday parties, and school field trips! Best for children ages 4 and above, but appropriate for ALL ages and an absolute favorite for teens, though they refuse to admit it at first, you know, just like a teenager.

Now most audiences have seen Whose Line, you know, the show with Drew Carey on ABC Family, and maybe some of you have seen that show Nick Cannon did for MTV. Well, Boston, Face Off kicks it up a notch with a latenight show (not appropriate for the whole family) and they guarantee to make you part of the action. You provide the suggestions; Face Off performs; you laugh; you vote for the Team you prefer. REPEAT! Teams of improv comedians literally face off against each other for your laughs and approval. Come see this special New Year’s Eve Mainstage show!
