HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH Adds Second Performance at Oberon, 7/14

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, the glam rock cult classic with text by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask will return to Boston on Sunday, July 14th at OBERON (2 Arrow St. Cambridge, MA 02138). The award-winning hit sold out its 8pm performance in 5 days, and has added a special 4pm show to meet demand.

The production won the 2012 BroadwayWorld.com Award for Best Musical. JJ Parkey & Ruthie Stephens, who won for Best Actor & Best Actress, will reprise their roles. Edward Carignan will return to direct. Benjamin Rauhala (Pippin on Broadway) will serve as music director.

Since its original Off-Broadway production in 1999, this award-winning rock musical has taken the world by storm and achieved a cult status in the vein of Rocky Horror and Reefer Madness. Join Hedwig at OBERON for a night of hilarious and heartbreaking storytelling mixed with hard-hitting rock in the venue she was born to play. HEDWIG will now perform two shows on Sunday, July 14th at 4pm and 8pm at OBERON in Cambridge, MA.

Tickets may also be purchased in-person in advance at the Loeb Drama Center box office (64 Brattle St, Cambridge, MA). Box office hours are 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays). A limited number of tickets may also be available at the door.
