The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will offer the first concert in its winter Family Concert Series, Uncle Nick Strikes Again, on Sunday, January 30th at 3:00 p.m. in the FSPA Recital Hall, 38 Main Street.  This concert is free and open to the public.

Nick Paone of Franklin will lead the audience in renditions of famous American folk tunes, including This Land is Your Land, Mr. Frog Went a-Courtin' and You Are My Sunshine. "Uncle Nick" will also introduce the audience to folk songs from different cultures, including Irish, Italian and Caribbean folk songs. And there will be a few surprises, too! This event is especially geared toward young children.

Paone is a member of the Drama faculty at Franklin School for the Performing Arts.  A singer, actor and writer, he has become an audience favorite in productions of the Franklin Performing Arts Company with memorable performances as the Emcee in Cabaret, Archbald Craven in The Secret Garden, and most recently as Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer.  Paone scripted a contemporary telling of "A Christmas Carol" entitled Humbug! in which he portrayed  Ebenezer Scrooge in 2008 and 2009.  His children's concert has become one of the most popular of FPAC's annual Family Concert Series.

From January through March, FPAC will hold a family concert one Sunday per month to beat the winter doldrums and enjoy music! All of the concerts will be held at 3 p.m. in the recital hall at 38 Main Street in Franklin.  They are free and open to the public. The remaining concerts are as follows: February 13th, Sunday Afternoon Blues; and March 27th, Opera for Kids.

The Franklin Performing Arts Company was founded in 1991 and is dedicated to the promotion of the performing arts, with a focus on and commitment to youth development.

A distinctive suburban non-profit arts organization, FPAC presents quality performances while offering opportunities for professional artists, amateurs, families and students of the arts to work together in a collaborative and creative environment.
