Ethan Paulini to Headline Counter's Summer Productions

Ethan Paulini will star in Counter Productions' tick, tick...BOOM! and The Full Monty.

Paulini will take on the role of Jon in tick, tick...BOOM! by Pulitzer Prize Winner Jonathan Larson. The show begins June 23 and runs Sunday through Friday evenings through July 3 at the Provincetown Theatre. tick, tick...BOOM! premiered Off-Broadway in June 2001. It features Book, Music and Lyrics by the late Rent scribe Jonathan Larson. David Auburn serves as script consultant with vocal arrangements by Stephen Oremus. Musical Direction is by Casey Sanderson and Susan Grilli Directs.
Ethan previously played Michael in September of 2005 in one of the show's Regional Premieres at Cape Rep.
 
Paulini is then slated to 'Let It Go' for a third time when he will play the role of Malcolm in the company's production of The Full Monty by David Yazbek and Terrence McNally. The Full Monty, based on on the 1997 British film of the same name, tells the hilarious and poignant story six unemployed Buffalo steelworkers as they bare it all to save what's most important to them. The Full Monty premiered on Broadway in 2000 and was nominated for 10 Tony Awards. The Full Monty will also play the Provincetown Theatre Sunday-Wednesday evenings August 12-September 3. Ethan has previously gone 'The Full Monty' at both Arkansas Repertory Theatre last Spring/Summer and Cape Rep in 2006. The Provincetown Theatre is located at 238 Bradford St in Provincetown, MA.

Paulini has previously appeared in New York in the MAC Award nominated Original Productions of The Sexless Years both at the Duplex and Ars Nova. He appeared in the 2006 Gypsy of the Year Competition at the Neil Simon Theatre. He has also appeared in National Tours of A Christmas Carol and Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver!. Regionally he has appeared in Forever Plaid, Urinetown, Side Show, Lady in the Dark, and Kiss of the Spider Woman. Ethan created the title role in the Regional Premiere of Andrew Gerle and Maryrose Wood's Richard Rodgers' Award Winning The Tutor (2007 Spirit Award)  and last fall appeared in Cape Rep's World Premiere of Larson Award Winner Lance Horne's Back in the Day. Paulini is also a founding member of the Spontaneous Evolution Ensemble (SEE Theatre), Interim Productions and Paulini and Howell Productions (with Angela C. Howell)
