The Dynamic Theater, based out of the Met Center, a network of public high schools in Rhode Island, will present Macbeth, April 11th  - 19th.

Students, Jonathan "Jonny" Olivera and Pedro Ayala, started Dynamic Theatre in the fall of 2006 at the Met High School and produced Media Control, an arrangement of one-act plays in April 2007.

The goal for this production is to introduce a new audience to the relevance of William Shakespeare in our modern society.

"There are still 'Macbeths' in the world.  The same things that corrupted the characters in this play are corrupting people today, and although you might not be able to draw a direct correlation between the story we are presenting and what's going on today, it becomes painfully apparent that the possibility of something like this happening is there.  So it's a good story to tell.  We have really tried to make this accessible to every audience.  The adaptation we have chosen is wonderful because its modern feel makes it accessible and although it's modernized, the language still has the 'feel' of Shakespeare." explains Director Matthew Kiely, in a recent press release.

Macbeth will be performed at The Met Media Center, 325 Public St. in Providence, RI on consecutive weekends, April 11th and 12th and again on April 18th and 19th. All performances begin at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets prices for Macbeth are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and can be reserved at www.dynamictheatre.org.
