DOUBT And RAPUNZEL Among Foothills Theatre's Spring Productions
There is something for everyone this spring at Foothills Theatre! Don't miss Doubt, a thought provoking evening of exciting theater, playing April 18- May 10. The classic fairy tale (with a twist), Rapunzel will be on our stage during school vacation.
Written by John Patrick Shanley; Doubt is the most acclaimed Broadway play of recent years! In this brilliantly written drama, it is 1964 and Sister Aloysius, a formidable Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the students. Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play, Doubt is a gripping story of suspicion that is less about scandal than about questions of moral certainty.
Directed by Elliot Norton Award Winner Nancy Curran Willis, Doubt features returning actresses Kathleen Huber (The Importance of Being Earnest) as Sister Aloysis and Jessica Webb (The Rainmaker, A Streetcar Named Desire) as Sister James. Making their Foothills' debut are Neil McGarry as Father Flynn and Nydia Calon as Mrs. Muller.
Doubt will appear at Foothills Theatre April 18- May 10, 2009. Tickets range in price from $30 to $35. Student seats are $19, Groups of 20 or more save $10 per ticket.
In addition to our main stage performance of Doubt, Foothills Children's Theatre is presenting Rapunzel during school vacation week, April 21-25.
Follow the minstrels, Strutz and Fretz, as they relive the classic story of Rapunzel. This fresh new look on a traditional tale is filled with quirky princes, odd witches and loving but confused parents. What is Rampion? Is the earth flat? Will Rapunzel ever get out of the tower? Come and see if Rapunzel can convince the people around her to let her live free.
Watch the magic of this classic tale come to life right before your eyes when Rapunzel makes its way to the Foothills Theatre's stage Tuesday through Saturday, April 21-25; all shows are at 10am. The tickets are only $10 and groups of 15 or more only $8. All seating is general admission, please call and reserve your tickets early before they are all sold out!
Tickets for Doubt or Rapunzel can be purchased at the Box Office or by calling (508) 754-4018.
