By Popular Demand SKL Presents Coffeehouse Soul Sessions With The GroovaLottos Each Month
After an extremely successful pilot launch and multiple inquiries as to when 'that really cool band' would be coming back: SKL Presents - Coffeehouse Soul Sessions will a monthly gathering at the Dedham Square Coffeehouse, starting on January 20th with a Pre-Grammy show. Grammy nominated soul-funk-blues band, The GroovaLottos will be serving as the house band. The sessions will also feature guest artists each month. In November the band was joined by legendary r&b guitarist, Steve Helme.
With a shrinking number of venues in Boston that cater to fans of live music, and venues that present original soul, funka nd blues being non-existent in the city; Dedham Square Coffeehouse provides a welcome oasis for live music fans, drawing regular audiences from a 40 mile radius. The GroovaLottos, a cabaret style soul band who earned Grammy nominations in Pop and Soul for their debut album, "Ask Yo' Mama", are regular headliners and favorites at the Boston Jazz Fest each summer, have found a cozy home at the coffeehouse.
