Boston Stage Co Ends Run of REVUE: An Arts Series, 7/2

The Boston Stage Company (Marco Paulo Carneiro, Artistic Director), announces its first annual arts festival REVUE: An Arts Series.

REVUE runs June 28 - July 2, 2010 at the Factory Theatre and features works of theater, music and visual arts. Directed by Marco Carneiro and Amanda Coffin, this festival brings about the BSC debut of nearly two dozen artists. Events include performances of monologues, one-act plays, theater for children, an art exhibition, and a concert, with each day bringing about the opening of a new event.

ARTISTS
Included are actors Kathelin Lembert, Keshia Monvil, James Marin, Rachel Coffin, Marshall Berenson, Kathy LaShay Berenson, Maggie Nichols, Samantha Reece Schecter, Olrich Zier, David Christensen and Asher Karnes; with Betsy Cameron, photographer; and Erica Stenquist and Zach Innis, musicians.

Artistic Director Marco Paulo Carneiro has gained a reputation as one of Greater Boston's most respected young artists. He has been sought after as an artist, administrator and educator for colleges, professional companies and community groups throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut and most recently in Malibu, CA. He enters his second year as the founding Executive Artistic Director of the Boston Stage Company. Recent credits include his 5th year Adjunct Staff at Framingham State College (Framingham, MA); two seasons with the acclaimed Guerilla Opera (Boston, MA) and a season with SongFest at Pepperdine, a young artist program for classical musicians (Malibu, CA). Performances at Symphony Hall (Boston), Carnegie Hall (NYC) and St. Joseph's Oratory (Montreal).

MISSION
The Boston Stage Company aims to challenge, enrich and enlighten its community through works that examine cultural diversity and the human condition. In its mission, the BSC also strives to give voice to new works, the artist and to support the ideal of artistic collaboration across all mediums. Oh, we also want to knock your socks off.
