The Boston Landmarks Orchestra's concert series in front of the DCR's Hatch Shell will have enhanced security in place this year. At its opening night concert on July 17 at 7 PM, the DCR and State Police will create four entrances to the site. One will be for staff only. One will service people coming to the Esplanade from the Charles Street Subway Station and the other two will provide access for people coming over the Arthur Fiedler Bridge from the direction of Arlington Street. All audience members will need to go through a bag check. An Express Line will be available for people with no bags.

The DCR and State Police will not allow the following items: coolers with wheels, back packs, glass containers, alcohol, firearms, or grills.

There will be no parking on Storrow Drive. The drop off point for people with disabilities will be a curb cut off Storrow Drive behind the Hatch Shell.

"We thank the public for their patience as the state implements these new rules," said Harron Ellenson, Executive Director of the Boston Landmarks Orchestra.

The Boston Landmarks Orchestra will hold seven concerts this year on the Hatch Shell beginning July 17 and running through August 28. All concerts begin at 7 PM. The rain location is the Back Bay Event Center, 180 Berkeley Street, Boston. For more information go to www.landmarksorchestra.org
