The Aglet Theatre Company's mission is to provide the tristate area with quality theatrical experiences during, but not limited to, the fall, winter and spring seasons, at affordable prices. Productions with important thematic statements, educational programs, training workshops for young people and adults, lectures, and utilization of community artists and other personnel are the keystones of the organization.

SPRING 2010 SEASON

TRIARTS' SHARON PLAYHOUSE BOK GALLERY AND BERKSHIRE THEATRE FESTIVAL'S UNICORN THEATRE

DAISY IN THE DREAMTIME
BY LYNNE KAUFMAN
DIRECTED BY GLORIA MILLER
MARCH 13 (BOK GALLERY)
MARCH 20 (UNICORN THEATRE)
Featuring Robert Blank, Renee Blank, Michael Brahce, Laurie Ellington, Joanna Seaton, Donald
Sosin and Thom Whaley

Based on a true story, in the 1920's Daisy Bates, a transplanted Dubliner, committed herself to protecting the Australian aboriginal culture against the encroaching power of a strong-willed missionary, the railroad and western civilization.

50 WORDS
BY Michael Weller
DIRECTED BY MACEY LEVIN
APRIL10 (UNICORN THEATRE)
APRIL 17 (BOK GALLERY)
Featuring James Beaudin and Melissa Wolff

Behind the civilized exteriors of the middle-class mariage of Jan and Adam is a tangle of neediness, hostility and resentment. 50 Words is a minute-by-minute presentation of searing marital conflict.

(Mr. Weller, author of Moonchildren, Loose Ends, many films and television dramas is scheduled to particpate in the discussion.)

THE ART OF DINING
BY Tina Howe
DIRECTED BY Thomas Gruenewald

MAY 8 (BOK GALLERY)
Featuring Clover Bell-Devaney, Betsy Colhoun, Gary Cookson, Joan Coombs, Andrew Joffe, Gail Ryan, Charles Tirrell, Valerie Von Volz and Melissa Wolff

The owners of an exclusive restaurant and various diners act out their private dramas over dinner; their conversations are exquisite burlesques of contemporary attitudes.

(At 7:00, Domaney's Liquors of Great Barrington, MA and Rick's Wine and Spirits of Sharon, CT will offer, at the respective theatres, a selection of popular priced wines, hand selected for your pleasure; refreshments will also be available. The reading will be presented at 8:00 followed by a discussion.
Otherwise, for Daisy in the Dreamtime and 50 Words...)

Doors open at 7:00 for wine and refreshments. The staged readings will begin at 7:30 with a discussion to follow.
