Auditions for THE 39 STEPS Held at CCftA
Cotuit Center for the Arts is auditioning for The 39 Steps by Patrick Barlow, based on the movie by Alfred Hitchcock, which was adapted from a book by John Buchan. A bored Englishman in 1935 London - intrigue and secret agents, murder, the Scottish moors, protection of the nation... LOTS OF ACTION, ACCENTS AND COMEDY by four performers. Looking for three men and one woman: Richard Hannay, an Englishman, two Men (called Clowns) for dozens of roles, and one woman, who plays a doomed German secret agent, an innocent Scottish wife, and the lovely Pamela. Auditions Thursday April 28 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday April 30 2:00-4:00 PM at Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Rd. (Route 28), Cotuit, MA 02635. In The 39 Steps, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she's a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called "The 39 Steps" is hot on the man's trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale!Date: April 21, 2011
