A.R.T. Institute Presents Trojan Women: A Love Story 3/17-19

The American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training presents its fourth production of the 2010-11 season - The Trojan Women by Charles L. Mee, directed by Scott Zigler, and performed by the Institute Class of 2011. The production is presented at Zero Church Street Performance Space, corner of Church Street and Mass. Ave, Harvard Square, Cambridge.
Performance dates and times are March 17, 18 at 7:30 pm and March 19 at 2pm and 7:30pm.

Fusing elements of Greek tragedy, opera, and shards of our contemporary world, playwright Chuck Mee examines the battle of sexes through the ages. Set in the aftermath of the Trojan War, The Trojan Women follows Aeneas from his war-ravaged home to the seductive shores of Dido's Carthage. Featuring the Institute Class of 2011.

Scott Zigler is the Director of the American Repertory Theater/MXAT Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard. He is a founding member and past Artistic Director of New York's Atlantic Theater Company and past Director of the Atlantic Theater Acting School, where he still serves as Senior Acting Teacher. He is co-author of the widely used text A Practical Handbook for the Actor. Mr. Zigler has taught acting at universities around the country as well as in Canada, Italy, and Australia. He directed Mamet's The Old Neighborhood on Broadway, and several off Broadway and regional Theater Productions, as well as the national tour of Mamet's Oleanna. At the A.R.T. his credits include Romance, Copenhagen, Animals and Plants, Absolution, The Cripple of Inishmaan and the world premiere of The Old Neighborhood.

Ticket prices are $10 for the general public; $5 for students, and seniors, free to A.R.T. subscribers. They can be purchased at the Loeb Drama Center or by calling the A.R.T. Box Office at (617) 547-8300 or online at www.americanrepertorytheater.org.
