A.R.T. Cancels All Friday Performances of THE GLASS MENAGERIE and BAYOU BACCHANALIA in Anticipation of Storm

The American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.) has cancelled all Friday evening performances of The Glass Menagerie and Bayou Bacchanalia due to the incoming storm. At this time, all performances at the Loeb Drama Center and OBERON, on Saturday will be taking place as scheduled. In the event they cancel performances, they will issue notice via email or by phone.

Please call our box office at 617.547.8300 for the most up to date information. Exchanges can be made for performances of The Glass Menagerie and The Donkey Show. Refunds will only be issued for cancelled performances.

Multiple Tony and Emmy Award winner Cherry Jones plays Amanda Wingfield, and is joined by Zachary Quinto as Tom, Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. Smith as the Gentleman Caller. The Tony Award-winning design team includes set and costumes by Bob Crowley, lighting by Natasha Katz, and sound by Clive Goodwin.

The Glass Menagerie is Tennessee Williams' poetic masterpiece, anchored by the ageing southern belle Amanda Wingfield, who hopes for her son Tom to fulfill her dreams of finding the perfect "gentleman caller" for her shy and damaged daughter Laura. This production marks the A.R.T.'s first foray into the world of Tennessee Williams. It begins performances on February 2 at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge, with press opening on Wednesday, February 6 and runs through Sunday, March 17, 2013.
