Lovable lonely-heart Maureen Mulligan gives in to one last shot at romance: a blind date arranged by her beautiful sister, Sheila. Sweet but awkward, Joe Spinelli’s eagerness leaves him saying everything that comes to mind, while Maureen uses wit and wisecracks to hide insecurities about her weight and appearance.
