I know that she's not that big of a name and I don't think that they would ever choose a non model-like Elphaba but I would love to see/hear Natalie Joy Johnson's Elphie.

But if Julia comes we all should RUN not walk to the Gershwin and get tickets ASAP!

DRS, Ana Gasteyer, Kate Reinders, Jenna Leigh Green, David Garrison, and Derrick Williams all leave January 7th.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Sorry Mr.Midwest but Al is right and delusion shouldn't be encouraged. And believe me, when it comes to all things Wicked, there's no levity about it, these kids are deadly serious. I also don't think Gasteyer is a bonafide household name, closest Wicked's had with their green witch but that's about it.

"Sorry Mr.Midwest but Al is right and delusion shouldn't be encouraged."

I don't think being an asshole should be encouraged.

Well, since I've rarely seen the word asshole used, even in the most extreme cases I'm going to say, there's only one asshole on this thread and that's you. Now who needs a valium? It's awfully early to be hurling insults over Wicked at anyone, let alone Al.

I can't really take you too seriously after that Stephanie J. Block interview thread.

Al comes in various threads after they've been going for a while (this one, the SJP in Sweet Charity one, etc) and then insults people for not having the same perspective on things as he does. It's tiresome.

MrMidwest, the only as*hole here is you. Why do you care what ANYONE thinks of Stephanie Block and/or whether or not it's trite to still be discussing who should play Elphaba? What's it to you that you would be so unecessarily insulting. And really, if you're reaching back to threads as old as the SJP one to "prove" what an asshole Al is , that speaks volumes about you, not Al who most of us enjoy a great deal.

The SJP thread was a week or two ago...

And I don't care what people think of Stephanie J. Block. What's annoying to me is when people seem to not be able to express their opinions without being a jerk about it.

I'm a pretty easy person to get along with provided that you actually act like a decent human being.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, I think Stacy Francis would be wonderful in the part.

Ok wait, I was going to let this all go because I think you have some serious issues that scare me BUT you can't "take me seriously after what I said in the Block thread"?? So, in other words, we're all inert in our opinions and therefore assholes because we don't love the same things you do, or think the same way you do? That makes you alot more insidious than an asshole Midwest that makes you certifiable. Get over it and take a big breath. I can't take YOU seriously if you're going to be the board fascist!

You don't seem to be understanding what I'm saying. You can have any opinion you want. I'm talking about the way a lot of people here express their opinions as if they're superior to ones that other people on the board have.

Right, since calling someone an asshole is a far more eloquent way to "express" oneself. I am flattered that you're keeping track of what and where I post and the timeline too.

If you want to act like one then I'll treat you like one.

It's not that hard to for me to remember when someone posted something in a recent post that I posted several replies to.

You clearly have some serious needs that this board nor any of it's posters can ever be able to satiate on any level amd I'm not going to continue to enable your madness.. BUT, never make the mistake of thinking you are in any way shape or form in ANY position to dictate anything to me(or any poster for that matter) or keep me in line, so get your ego in check and perhaps some psychiatric help for your delusions of grandeur might be of some swift need. Either that, or you are plain high having the gaul to make that last post. Get over yourself because I'm quite sure you're balls aren't 1/3 this big offline!

Anything else you might want to say to me, PM me, or is it not as much "fun" if no one else can read your rantings?

Oh, I don't think that you should have to do anything I say. I just find people who knock other people without contributing much to threads otherwise boring and sad and I'm saying so. That's all.

"I'm not going to continue to enable your madness.."

I'm sure you're busy enough dealing with your own.

There's been a lot of buzz that Julia is doing it.

I would KILL to see Mandy Gonzalez play this part.

I don't want it to be Julia. If she takes over, and her dates coincide with my NY trip (as it likely will), that means I'll be forced to at least attempt the lotto line.

Rimshot Midwest, there, ya feel better now? Gawd, your insults are really sad and inert and you do need to chill. i'm thinking you're one of those types who can't get as "excited" if you PM someone but I'll tell you what, you're wasting your one liners on all of us cause they are TIRED and so are you.

I hate how all of these threads about Wicked become a bashfast. We're just here to talk about who'd we like to see.

I didn't read half the threads. But I was told that "Julia is returning to NYC to a role she did". Won't reveal my source, and it's not confirmed. But I believe she'll be green again.

She was a wonderful Elphaba, really throwing herself into the character to bring a sense of realism to the role nad her vocals were classy and right on the money...or is that Murney? No one I know who saw her was dissappointed.

Victoria Matlock was also very, very impressive. These are just my views.

I seriously dont get people on this thread/board, and I dont mean this to be offensive but Julia Murney must have said about 1000 times that she would not go to Broadway with Elphaba, and only wanted to do the 6 month stint on tour, and still people are convinced she will be back in green, she wants to move on!
