It was back in 1995 when my entire family went to Las Vegas and we saw a show called EFX and it was AMAZING....(My parents bought me a program.) I was wondering if a Cast Recording exist for this show so I could remember the music...cause I brought the "POTO" with my mom one day and she had said that I had seen Michael Crawford before and I was arguing with her until she proved me wrong.

I wonder how this show would work on Broadway...it looks super cool...cause I don't remember a thing about it.

Has anyone see this show before?

I have the CD. I saw the production with David Cassidy, Tommy Tune and the understudy for Rick Springfield. I know the show changed some from Michael Crawford, but I don't think it would work on Broadyway - no broadway house could afford it. The music was ok, but the storyline existed only to propel the 'story' from one special effects segment to another. Amazing effects and costumes and great performers, but not broadway material in my opinion.

Unmasked, there is a CD with Michael Crawford. Check Amazon.com for it, or do an on-line search. You're sure to find it.

Watch the film version of "Hello Dolly" and take a gander at a REALLY YOUNG Michael Crawford.....

I have the Crawford CD, the David Cassidy CD and the Tommy Tune CD and Crawfords version of the show is the best. although each had their own high points. Cassidy's CD has the best version of "Intergalactic Circus of Wonders" as it was changed from a rip-off of "Be Our Guest" to a more "rock" inspired number. Cassidy's CD also has "The Greatest Showman in the Universe" which was in the Crawford version but not recorded. Tommy's has that song too. Cassidy's has the "Stick Dance" music and the additional songs "Love Is A River in Time" and "Let It Shine" which are nice songs. neither Cassidy's or Tune's version of "Tonight" can surpass Michael's though. his is the definitive version of that song. also Tommy Tune's CD has "Song and Dance Man" which doesn't really fit in with any of the characters but is still a good song. I like them all equally for different reasons. and I'm mad they never made a CD with Rick Springfield... oh, well...

I think if they were to do the show on Broadway it would be successful because it's a show kids and adults can enjoy - it's visually stunning and has some good songs. they would need to create a definitive version though. take the best things from each version and make a "Broadway" version of the show and not change it when a new person takes over. the show doesn't exactly scream Broadway though. it's more of a Las Vegas spectacle show and I don't think any of the Broadway theatres could withstand the sets as they were in Vegas with the dragons and such weighing several tons alone... but I'm no expert.

River in Time was my favorite song - it has such a cool beat.

And that's my friend Satomi singing the Morgana/Bess role on the Micheal Crawford recording.

Thank heavens they didn't do a Rick Springfield recording. They really butchered the show by then - got rid of the masters and half the good music.

Saw it with Tommy Tune & it was the standard Vegas tourist show. 90 minutes of mindless fluff you forget as soon as you leave the theater. Felt the same way about Storm that opened the Mandalay Bay. It was replaced by Mama Mia
